Caring less and less

I use to be extremely neurotic about everything. The people around me would bitch and moan about every little thing that was wrong with their lives. And I would reply bitching about the same damn thing. I guess that's how you communicate when there is nothing else to talk about..... I often go through a short phase of ranting, and then I get tired and give up. I'm at that "giving up" stage. I just don't give a fuck. If someone sends me messages complaining about how much their life sucks, I usually reply with an "Ok..." or "yeah"....or I don't even reply at all. Yeah, it may seem bitchy/selfish/mean/heartless/cold, etc. But honestly, after hearing these problems repeat like a broken record, it gets extremely annoying. Come talk to me when your problems are straightened out. Come talk to me when you aren't in a ranting mood. Come talk to me when you have something nicer to say. Because honestly...I don't give a fuck about your problems. I have enough on my own plate.

Sunday night, an old friend of mine suddenly passed away. The news devastated me because we were so close in middle school and in high school. We also worked together at Foodtown for two summers in a row. We were lunch buddies for 6 years, and use to chit chat and giggle about silly things when waiting in the lunch line. We use to meet up every morning before homeroom and chit chat about even more silly stuff. I'll never forget the sound of her laugh. She was always cheerful, friendly, and full of life. She was probably the nicest person I had ever met in my life....and now she's gone.... I didn't know she was so sick. She needed a liver and kidney transplant badly, but didn't get it in time. That breaks my heart because she could still be alive now...if only there were more organ donors out there. I'm a donor myself. A few years ago, when the DMV clerk asked me if I wanted to be an organ donor when I got my license, I said yes right away. Because when I'm dead, it would be a huge waste to have my organs rot inside of me. I'd rather donate all of them, so it could save lives. I've known other people who needed transplants, and are still waiting. It's sad to see someone suffer so much just because some numbskulls out there refused to sign up to be organ donors. Even though modern medicine is getting more and more advanced, in the future we might be able to completely grow artifical organs and not worry about a shortage. But alas, I have no clue what is going on in the medical world, so I have no say in it. I just wish she could've gotten the organs she needed in time. Hell, if I knew she was so sick, I'd volunteer to donate one of my kidneys to keep her alive. She didn't deserve this. It's so horrible.... In the end, RIP Alison. You are a beautiful angel now. I will never forget you....

The last Eden of the East movie: Paradise Lost

For Christmas, I gave Allen the blu-ray copy of the last Eden of the East movie, called Paradise Lost. Both of us have been following the series ever since it was released in America last year, and seriously...it's one of our favorite. This movie is the best amongst the three as well, and the ending was very pleasing.

For any anime-crazed fan out there, try this series out. It has a complex, yet interesting plot with a group of very lovable characters. The animation is clear and beautiful. The music is uplifting and easy to the ear. Everything about this anime is attractive...if that makes any sense O.o

And the budding romance between Saki and Takizawa is freakin adorable :3 Just watch the show. I'm too lazy to explain the plot and everything. If you enjoyed the movie, Summer Wars...you'd probably love this. woop woop.

SKYRIM!!!!!

The Elder Scrolls games have always been a great treat; a great escape to a vast fantasy world full of magic and wonder. I remember the first time I played Oblivion with an old friend. She was showing off her dark elf and all the badass spells it learned. After that, we started a new game and she showed me how to create my own character. I was a female nord, in the warrior class, and I was a tank. I remember playing Oblivion during summer vacation, investing endless hours....those were the good ol' days.

Now those good ol' days are back with the newest installment to the Elder Scrolls series: Skyrim. This time, the story takes place in the frozen tundra where the Nords reside; my favorite class of barbaric viking people! The best part of the new game are the dragons, and the dragon shouts you obtain throughout the game. It feels so rewarding to kill a dragon and gain power from it. I actually enjoy this more than closing the oblivion gates in the previous game; that was just time consuming and annoying....

So yeah, I spent a total of 53+ hours playing Skyrim with my boyfriend on his PC. He did all the main quests, and I did all the misc ones, which were endless. The main quest is kind of lame, so we completely avoided it and stuck with hundreds of other side quests. That's the beauty of Skyrim...it makes the player have the shortest attention span possible. Whether your catching butterflies, exploring the sprawling landscape, hunting, cooking, smithing, selling, bartering, swimming, killing dragons, pick pocketing, etc.... Skyrim is just an overall satisfying time killer...and boy does it kill time.

I can't believe my boyfriend and I spent 53+ hours on the game in one weekend. It's just THAT good...

Tis the season

I freakin love the holidays :) Even though I hated it the past couple of years. That was because I worked during this season...so I had to deal with the madness of Christmas shoppers. Some people go absolutely insane when they go Christmas shopping. I always avoid going out as much as I can... (just during this month, lol) Also, I usually buy everything online; It saves time and gas money. Plus most of the stuff I buy has free shipping, so I get to save even more! Hurrah! Gotta love online shopping :) This year, I bought everything online and didn't have to set foot outside. The only stuff I might have to buy is a few stocking stuffers and odds and ends at Walmart. Besides that, I'm done. Now that I don't have to stress about christmas shopping, or working during this time, I enjoy the holiday a whole lot more. So yeah *puts santa hat on* Merry Christmas, ya'll :) And a very Happy New Year!

Blast from the Past

Besides the two new games from Arren san, I've also been playing an old game. It's one of my all time favorite RPGs.

Dragon Quest VIII


This gem was released back in 2004. This is seriously my favorite Dragon Quest game. It's made by Level 5 and Square Enix along with the wonderful art of Akira Toriyama (he created Dragon Ball Z) This game is absolutely beautiful. The cell shading is clear and colorful. There are many unique characters that are likeable. The world is vast...it's just so easy to get lost in this game. It has a ton of gameplay too---one time I've played up to 50+ hours. The boss battles are challenging, the dungeons are endless, and it's just an overall badass game. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves RPGs :)
