It's been a looong time

Yeah I need to update this more often. I lost interest in blogging for a while, but since I'm starting to write more for school projects, I got into the swing of things again. And so I am back :) Yay.

Not much happened over the summer. The major events of it included me graduating Brookdale and getting my Associate's degree in Music. A few weeks later, I was accepted at Rutgers and attended their orientation. It was a huge waste because I realized their music program was horrible for many reasons, and withdrew from the university ASAP.

I did find another school that had a better Music program, Monmouth University, so I applied right away. I was accepted, registered, and ready to go!

Now it's September and I'm having a hard time adjusting to this school. I found out how close knit the Music community is here, and they stick together like glue. I tried talking to the other Music students, but they never seemed interested and quite frankly, our interests were very different.

After getting socially rejected from the Music kids, I thought I wasn't going to make any friends here. Sometimes I feel like I'm back in high school again, where cliques dominate the social scene. I wasn't expecting anything like this in a University setting. It makes me miss community college....

hopefully this slump will go away soon. But for now, I'm just stickin to my studies :)
